Why did my reply go to the help desk instead of Circle?

When Circle sends you an email notification about a post, comment, or moderation update, replying directly to that email routes your message to the LDC help desk — not back to the Circle community or the original poster.

This is how Circle's email notification system works and is not a bug.

How to reply inside Circle:

  1. Open the original notification email from Circle
  2. Find the blue "View Comment" button in the email
  3. Click "View Comment" — this takes you directly to the post inside Circle
  4. Reply to the post from inside Circle so the right person sees your message

If your comment is under moderation review:

The same steps apply. Click "View Comment" in the moderation notification email to see the moderator's feedback and respond to them directly inside Circle. The help desk does not have visibility into moderation decisions.
